Your support ensures we can continue to provide critical Kiwi aid and refugee services to the people of Ukraine, who so deperately need it.

Damaged buildings from Russian bombing in Ukraine

The people of Ukraine are under siege.

Help us do what Kiwi's do best: use our practical skills and can-do attitude to make a positive difference.

So far, 7 million Ukrainians have been displaced. Many remain in Ukraine, unable to get away from the suffering and trauma of constant artillery shelling and missile attacks.

KIWI K.A.R.E (Kiwi Aid & Refugee Evacuation) is raising money to fund two operational vehicles: a cargo van dedicated to HUMAID delivery (and can be configured for animal rescue on return trips) and a 9 seater van for evac support and HUMAID delivery. We are also establishing a headquarters in Ukraine for a rotating team of volunteers for two years to support the Ukrainians, particularly during their harsh winters.

We are delivering food, sanitary products for women, nappies, toys for children, medicine and medical equipment, trauma kits and defibrillators, pet supplies (for the thousands of displaced animals) and much more.

We are also providing evacuation services for Internally Displaced Persons (IDP’s) from troubled areas.

We have a goal to raise $500,000 for a 2 year aid humanitarian and medical aid programme in Ukraine.

This will allow us to run supply and evacuation vans into Ukraine and to setup a small NZ HQ to cover logistics for the dangerous but essential trips into Ukraine.

The first van will allow us to deliver essential items including medicines, trauma kits, medical equipment, food, sanitary products for women, nappies for babies and animal food for the thousands of abandoned pets.

“Many have lost everything. The supplies we deliver are essential for those remaining in Ukraine and for those we assist with evacuation.”

The second van will be utilised for transporting refugee Ukrainian’s out of the country.  Many of these refugees have direct links to New Zealand relatives.  Our evacuation capability is for people who need to escape dangerous areas in and around the Russian occupied South and East of the country.  The distances are long and many evacuees need medical and psychological support en route.

“Without new vans the entire operation stops. We travel thousands of kilometres each week and we need to maintain this high operational tempo.”

Who is Kiwi K.A.R.E Ukraine?

Kiwi K.A.R.E has developed a strong network of charities, together with operational networks in Ukraine and Poland. We are able to deliver essential products directly into the hands of those who need them, without getting caught up in mismanaged warehouses and large administration fees, as is often the case with the big aid agencies.

KIWI K.A.R.E has bonafide networks and is led by Tenby Powell. With over three decades of military service in the NZ Army, a successful business career and service on government boards, Tenby is funding his own way while in situ in Poland and Ukraine and now seeks help with sustainable funding for Kiwi K.A.R.E’s direct assistance of essential equipment and support to the people of Ukraine.
