Providing critical Kiwi Aid & Refugee Evacuation services to the people of Ukraine

As of March 2025, we will have delivered 35 ambulances for service in Ukraine. Of these, 30 have been donated to medical units and 5 have been retained for Road-of-Life. As of January 2025, we have evacuated over 500 people, including patient transfers and long-haul evacuations of entire family groups to Western Ukraine, Poland and Germany.

Our Road-Of-Life evacuation and medical transportation service shows a strong partnership between New Zealand and Ukraine on multiple levels. We currently have three teams who will run the ambulances in the wider Kharkiv Region (Team East), the Kherson Region (Team South), and across Western Ukraine to assist Internally Displaced Persons who need to get to a hospital.

As of January 2025, we have completed over 300 missions to Red Zone areas in the East and South of Ukraine. Our team has travelling over 625,000 kilometers across Europe and in Ukraine. We have distributed hundreds of tonnes of donated and purchased humanitarian medical supplies totalling an estimated value of $5 million. We have also purchased and supplied 7 service vehicles, including one truck.

As of January 2025, we have fabricated and distributed over 3,500 stoves and water boilers to families living in Red Zones. These units are all produced from recycled electrical water cylinders gathered from all over Ukraine. They are often described as lifesaving by the families who recieve them, particularly through the harsh winters.
